For those of you who have, or have had at some point, a first grader you understand the demands of the tooth fairy. Our youngest child, Ethan, has unfortunately had quite the experience with the tooth fairy. He lost another tooth yesterday, in church, but this time right before sacrament meeting started. (This is his 3rd tooth to come out at church, 2nd one in the chapel.) The tooth fairy has a tendency to visit him in the morning, after he is up getting ready for school. Many times she hasn't come because the dog sleeps with him, and so she is somewhat timid.
Last night, she didn't come. He discussed this with me at 7:30 this morning with various excuses and probabilities as to why she didn't come last night. He finalized his theory by saying he wasn't worried because she usually visits his pillow in the morning anyway.
As luck would have it, I sent him back upstairs this morning to make his bed and TADAA! There was money under his pillow. So, all is well for the toothless first grader for the Monday...after spring break!
